Lions Walk It Off for 4th Win of Season
|
The St. Louis Lions had to overcome a fine performance from New York City pitcher Bill Kuhn to grab a 3-2 win at The Lions Hearth. Kuhn allowed 2 runs over 7 innings. New York City now has a record of 3-2.
The Lions procured the win, in large part because of center fielder Julius Walker. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"This was a tough loss," said New York City manager Daniel Mays. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
