Peanuts Deal Texans 5-0 Defeat
|
Edwin Quevedo never let the Texans get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his splitter, to pitch the Peanuts to a win, 5-0. Joe Levensailor closed it out for his 1st save. San Francisco goes to 3-1 with the win.
Dan Stricklin hit a run-scoring triple off Brian Castetter in the top of the fourth, which put the Peanuts in front, 1-0. Stricklin had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Quevedo.
