PBC Player of the Week Selected Monday, September 13th , 2004 27-year-old Alex Cosme sent shock waves through Professional Baseball Circuit last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Professional Baseball Circuit Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Cosme made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .467 average, 14 hits in 30 at-bats, 1 home run and 6 runs batted in. Where the Detroit Motors left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Cosme certainly made his mark last week. So far this year Cosme is hitting .368 with 4 home runs. |
