Lions Win Thriller, 4-1

The home team gave their fans plenty to cheer about, with a thrilling walk-off win.
St. Louis pitcher Nate Kelley did his part in helping his team beat the Houston Mavericks, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. St. Louis reliever Tom Thompson picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Jack Murphy shouldered the loss.
Rick Anderson was the walk-off hero for St. Louis. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lions third baseman hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.
"This place was electric at the end," Anderson said.
The 4th-place Lions sport a record of 35-38.
