New York City Gets 3-1 Win
|
The New York City Blues defeated the Los Angeles Knights, 3-1. Doing his part was center fielder Keith Reiss, who went 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. New York City reliever Steve Post picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Mauricio Barahona was saddled with the loss. New York City is now 23-33, Los Angeles 23-33.
With New York City leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Reiss hit a run-scoring single off Los Angeles hurler Mauricio Barahona. It was the 31st hit of the season for Reiss and put his team ahead, 3-1.
Reiss told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
