Yamamoto Slugs Shamrocks to 7-3 Win
The Houston Mavericks and Boston Shamrocks met at Mavericks Ballpark to settle a score.

Seigo Yamamoto made an impact in the 7-3 Boston win over Houston. Yamamoto, who is tied for 5th in the PBC in runs scored with 18, went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. The win belongs to Jon Romano in relief. His record improves to 1-1. John Charles took the loss for Houston.

Yamamoto had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a full count fastball from John Charles, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Shamrocks a 7-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Yamamoto.

"Nervous? No," said Yamamoto. "It was my time to shine."

At 10-14, the Shamrocks claim 5th place in the East Division.
