Thrice Is Nice: Silva Unloads 3 Homers Sunday, August 29th , 2027 Bill Silva was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 15-8 Las Vegas (R) Rollers triumph at PBC Rookie Development Complex. The 27-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Rollers past the Saskatoon (R) Moose. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Silva told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The first baseman went 4-for-6, rung up 8 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day. Bill Silva struck out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Sean Leslie in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Alex Lazalde in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Bobby Gonzalez in the 9th. For the season, Silva is batting .359 with 47 hits and 7 home runs. He has scored 26 times and batted in 28. |
