Ottawa (R) SP Jenkins Will Miss 11 Months Sunday, August 22nd , 2027 The Capitals received bad news this morning. Jason Jenkins will miss 11 months due to a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. He sustained the injury in the Ottawa (R)-Detroit (R) game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Jenkins sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." In 19 starts this year, Jenkins has recorded a 6-6 record and a 3.13 ERA. |
