D'Angelo Goes 5-for-6 Against Chicago (R) Sunday, September 5th , 2027 Washington (R) second baseman Mark D'Angelo went down swinging at PBC Rookie Development Complex, knocking out 5 hits even as his Warriors fell, 7-6. "It was like I was hitting Little League pitching," D'Angelo said after his 5-for-6 performance against the Chicago (R) Union. "No offense meant to Chicago (R), but it was like I was back in little league again -- I could see the ball that well." After the game, his manager elaborated on the second baseman's improvements, saying D'Angelo spent the offseason trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball. "That's what I'm trying to do," D'Angelo agreed. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it." Mark D'Angelo singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
