In the New York City (R)'s 3-2 win over Miami (R), shortstop Ross Pate was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at PBC Rookie Development Complex. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Pate said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Ross Pate hit a solo-shot off Daniel Aldaya in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and flied out in the 11th.
