5-for-6 Game for Hawthorne Thursday, July 8th , 2027 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Jordan Hawthorne -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at PBC Rookie Development Complex and paced the 16-3 Sun Sox win over the Philadelphia (R) Keystones. After his dynamite batting performance, the Miami (R) first baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Jordan Hawthorne singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Ricardo Aguilar in the 9th.
