WAC Reliever of the Year Award Winner Named Wednesday, September 22nd , 2027 Alex Martinez said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 25 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Dallas Bulls rising star has won the Western Amateur Circuit Reliever of the Year Award for 2027. He captured the award on the strength of his 2.74 ERA over 65.2 innings. He also had 7 saves in 42 relief appearances, 74 strikeouts and only 36 walks. He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Matt Banic of the Tulsa Twisters finished second in voting, while Joe Patton of the New Orleans Buccaneers finished third.
