5-Hit Blitz by Brooklyn's Holley Thursday, August 26th , 2027 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Shawn Holley is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Franklin Knights at Atlantics Ballpark. The monster effort from the 27-year-old right fielder helped the Brooklyn Atlantics get the win, 18-10. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Knights manager Harry Decker. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Shawn Holley hit a two-run single in the 1st, tripled in the 2nd, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Holley is batting .278 this year with 2 home runs, 32 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 67 hits in 241 at-bats. View Boxscore |
