Playoffs? No Chance for El Paso Thursday, August 5th , 2027 It has been a woeful season for the El Paso Mavericks and now they have been officially eliminated from playoff contention. "You always need some things to break your way to get into the playoffs," said manager Kevin Jones. "And nothing broke our way this year." The Mavericks have missed the playoffs 24 times in their 25 years as a SPBC Reserve League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 7th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2020. In the last 10 seasons, the Mavericks have only made the playoffs once. El Paso last won the Championship Cup in 2020. |
