Albuquerque-San Diego Fight Results in Suspensions Sunday, July 18th , 2027 Yesterday at Knights Grove Matt Van Buskirk and Rogelio Pacheco got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Albuquerque Coyotes and San Diego Aztecs. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Van Buskirk will have to sit out 3 while Pacheco would be given a 7-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. For the year, Van Buskirk is batting .320 with 7 home runs. On the season, Pacheco has no wins and 3 losses and a 9.45 ERA. |
