Kawamoto 5-for-5 for Long Beach Monday, July 12th , 2027 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Nozomu Kawamoto is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the St. Petersburg Pelicans at Ballpark of St. Petersburg. The monster effort from the 25-year-old first baseman helped the Long Beach Titans get the win, 15-8. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Pelicans manager Kyle Moe. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Nozomu Kawamoto singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
