Fernandez Bashes 5 Base Hits Wednesday, June 16th , 2027 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Hollywood's 9-6 win over San Diego, third baseman Billy Fernandez was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Knights Grove. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Fernandez said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Billy Fernandez singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, struck out in the 9th, singled in the 12th and singled in the 14th.
