Diaz Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Saturday, June 5th , 2027 The number just keeps getting higher. Hollywood first baseman Alex Diaz has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 4 at-bats as the Hollywood won the game, 4-3, over the Albuquerque Coyotes at Oil City (R) Grounds. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Albuquerque manager Manny Villasana said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Alex Diaz singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, walked in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. This year, Diaz is hitting at a .328 pace with 4 home runs and 15 RBIs.
