Houston-New Orleans Fight Results in Suspensions Monday, May 17th , 2027 If there wasn't a history between Damason Quintanilla of Houston and Ernesto Alaniz of New Orleans, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 6 and 4 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Quintanilla said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." In this current campaign Quintanilla is hitting at a .210 clip with 3 home runs and 13 RBIs. Alaniz has taken the mound for 7 relief appearances this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 1-1 record with a 6.16 ERA. The New Orleans reliever has limited opposing batters to a .295 batting average. |
