Big 3-HR Day for Rodriguez Sunday, July 19th , 2026 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Tony Rodriguez did at Central Park, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 15-11. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Rodriguez said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Providence Grays center fielder blistered the Manhattan Liberty for 3 hits, batted in 6 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Manhattan manager Chuichi Yamamoto said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Tony Rodriguez grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Lance Hatfield in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Loys Blaesvelt in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Juan Castillo in the 9th. Thus far this season, Rodriguez is hitting .238 with 7 home runs, 37 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has 74 hits in 311 at-bats and has played in 94 games. |
