Leblanc Cracks 3 HR for Grays Sunday, July 12th , 2026 Players don't hit three home runs in a game very often and when they do, it is something to celebrate. After today, Roger Leblanc can celebrate. The Providence Grays first baseman powered three into the stands at Providence Field against the Fort Wayne Farmers. "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Leblanc told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one." In all, he was 3-for-4 as the Grays toppled Fort Wayne by a score of 5-2, knocking in 4 runs and scoring 3 times. "He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Providence manager Seigo Yamamoto said. "He gets the ball up in the air." Roger Leblanc hit a two-run home run off Scott Jackson in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Scott Jackson in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Danny Martinez in the 8th. Leblanc is hitting .270 this season with 11 home runs, 26 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 37 hits in 137 at-bats. |
