Manager Flunks in Long Beach -- Mansfield Canned Monday, October 25th , 2027 Long Beach has fired manager Seth Mansfield. "We were not doing the things you've got to do every day," Titans general manager told reporters. "We saw that things were not going to change. We had huge expectations coming into the season and we did not live up to them." The current coaching staff will be assigned to run the ballclub in the interim until a new manager can be hired. Mansfield was told of his dismissal yesterday morning and was not available for comment. The Long Beach spokesman called it a "sensitive and emotional" meeting with Mansfield -- and would not discuss whether Mansfield would be offered another job in the Titans system. |
