Cryin' Time: Mancilla Retiring
Thursday, October 7th , 2027
Flanked by his two young children, Cesar Mancilla said his reason for retirement is simple.
"I want to spend more time being a father now," the Las Vegas Rollers closer said in announcing that this season would be his last in pro baseball. "I'm 36 years old now, I think it's a good time to go."
So far in his career, Mancilla has nailed down 68 saves and held opposing hitters to a .241 batting average with 1124 strikeouts and 374 walks in 1290.2 innings. In 360 games he has a 91-65 record and a 2.71 ERA.
