Player of the Week: Lopez of the Caracals Monday, August 9th , 2027 25-year-old Alex Lopez sent shock waves through Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Western Semi-Pro Circuit Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Lopez made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .556 average, 15 hits in 27 at-bats, no home runs and 4 runs batted in. Where the Calgary Caracals center fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Lopez certainly made his mark last week. This season, Lopez has delivered 109 hits in 302 at-bats for a .361 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .396 clip and his totals also include 21 RBIs and 45 runs scored. This year Lopez has played in 71 games. |
