WSPC Rookie Vote Goes to Melgar Sunday, August 1st , 2027 When it came to hitting the baseball, Julio Melgar had few peers in the Western Semi-Pro Circuit last month. The gifted center fielder for Vancouver tagged opposing pitchers for a .327 average and was voted the Rookie of the Month for July. Included in his stats were 35 hits, 4 homers, 17 runs scored and 25 RBIs. Thus far this season, Melgar has hit .302 with 8 home runs, 63 RBIs and scored 55 times. |
