Meng Rips 3 Homers Against Fleetwings Sunday, July 25th , 2027 Albany Senators bombardier Xie-li Meng set his sights on the stands and blasted three balls over the fence as his club beat the Allentown Fleetwings, 10-5. "I guess you could say I was a good guesser today, especially on the last one," Meng told writers in the postgame press room. "I was ahead in the count, so I gambled that I'd get a certain pitch, and got all of it." For the game, the Albany first baseman had 4 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 7, and scored 3 runs. Xie-li Meng struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Joam Yamanaka in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Joam Yamanaka in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Bill Rodriguez in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Meng is batting .289 this year with 12 home runs, 49 RBIs and 47 runs scored. He has 85 hits in 294 at-bats. |
