Ben Poort Nabs Best Player Trophy Monday, November 8th , 2027 Vacaville's Ben Poort put the wraps on a fine campaign today by winning the 2027 Western Semi-Pro Circuit Most Valuable Player Award. The 30-year-old veteran scorched the opposition with a .326 average, picking up 208 hits, 36 doubles, 11 triples, 14 home runs and 90 RBIs, while scoring 89 runs. He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 20. Jason Olsen of the Winnipeg Buffaloes finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Camden Redmond of the Saskatoon Moose finished third with 2 first place votes.
