Davenport Grabs ESPC Reliever of the Year Award

He's a veteran presence in the D.C. Potomacs bullpen and now Joe Davenport can say he's a 2027 award winner.
The bullpen ace was today named the Eastern Semi-Pro Circuit Reliever of the Year Award winner.
"When you're 34 years old, your main objective is to just stay healthy and stay productive. I guess I did that this year," he said.
The award was won on the strength of a season that featured 15 saves in 59 relief appearances, with 89 strikeouts in 93 innings and a record of 7-5 to go with his 2.42 ERA.
He received 17 first place votes out of a possible 20. Corey Jones of the New York Knights finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Justin Palmer of the Sherbrooke Canadians finished third.
