El Paso Takes Play-in Series Saturday, October 2nd , 2027 It's a sweet sweep for the El Paso Diablos and they have won the Play-in Series. The Seattle Gulls were not able to keep pace with the Diablos and dropped the series in short order, losing, 9-8, in the deciding game. "This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Seattle manager Mike Beck. It's now on to the Cup Qualifier for El Paso after their 4-0 series win. Leading the way for the winners was first baseman Aaron Shelby, who was named MVP. For the series, Shelby hit .400 with a .500 on-base percentage.
