Zamarripa Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Friday, September 24th , 2027 The hot bat of Gulls first baseman Alfredo Zamarripa continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 2-for-3 in today's 4-2 loss to the Cutthroats at Seagull Stadium. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Alfredo Zamarripa flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Jian-gun Fou in the 4th, walked in the 5th and singled in the 8th. Thus far this season in 86 games, Zamarripa is batting .347 with 13 home runs, 62 RBIs and 57 runs scored. He has 115 hits in 331 at-bats. |
