Postseason Bid Ends for Tampa Bay Monday, September 13th , 2027 It wasn't meant to be for the Tampa Bay Thunder this year. Despite a tough battle, they were eliminated from playoff contention today. "It is a bad feeling," said Thunder closer Jay Clanton. "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. But you've gotta get in there first, and we weren't able to do that." This is the club's 15th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2012. In total, the Thunder have missed the playoffs 20 times in their 28-year history. Tampa Bay last won the Pro Circuit Cup in 2009. |
