Gothams-Suns Trade: Johnson for Smith Monday, November 1st , 2027 Reports have surfaced that New York City has agreed to send 21-year old minor league RHP Chris Johnson, 19-year old minor league C Antonio Ruiz, 20-year old minor league CF Sam Meek, and 21-year old minor league SS Jory Justus to the Arizona Suns in exchange for 30-year old CF Carlos Rice, 25-year old RHP Randy Dugger, and 26-year old RHP Mike Smith. "It's a done deal," said one executive speaking on the condition of anonymity. "I'm surprised word got around so quickly. We just signed off on this an hour ago." The deal apparently is awaiting physicals before an official announcement is made by either team. Thus far in his career, Smith has worked 150.1 innings with 153 strikeouts en route to a 10-9 record. The 26-year-old also has a 4.79 ERA. |
