Cahoon Delivers Walk-Off Win for Gulls
The Seattle Gulls took Las Vegas pitcher Troy Degenstein's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Seagull Stadium. The final score had Seattle getting past the Aces, 2-1. Degenstein went 7 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 11. The win was credited to 25-year old right-handed pitcher Xavier Cardona in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Garrett Vogt took the loss. Las Vegas falls to 3-4.

Sam Cahoon was the walk-off hero for Seattle. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Gulls left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Seattle skipper Mike Beck.
