Ryals Deals Minnesota 2-1 Setback
|
The Denver Cutthroats picked up a win at Cutter's Cove, knocking off the Minnesota Loons, 2-1. Starting pitcher Mike Ryals played a key role in the triumph. Danny Moreno was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 10 of 15 save opportunities. The victory gives the Cutthroats a record of 41-40.
Ryals lasted 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits. The Denver right-hander, who is tied for 2nd in the WC in innings pitched with 154.0, is now 5-9.
"No disrespect to the other team," said Denver manager Tyler Montgomery. "But it's nice to get an easy win."
