Seattle Loses, 4-1, to San Diego in 14
|
The San Diego Roadrunners beat the Seattle Gulls, 4-1, in 14 innings. San Diego pitcher and Toronto, Canada, native Tom Stuart led the way. Tom Stuart picked up the win in relief. Danny Matthews took the loss for Seattle. Today's win puts San Diego at 31-44, while Seattle falls to 43-32.
San Diego used the timely hitting of Jaheem Baker to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 14th inning to put the Roadrunners on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Stuart.
