Knights Win with Late Rally
|
The Los Angeles Knights trumped the Denver Cutthroats, 7-6, in 10 innings. Los Angeles right fielder Manny Silva was impactful. He went 5 for 5 with a triple, 4 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The win went to Ray Sanchez in relief, making him now 3-1. Juan Mejia took the loss for Denver. The win hiked the Los Angeles record to 36-28.
Silva had a game-changing triple in the top of the tenth. On a 0-1 fastball from Juan Mejia, he banged a 2-run triple to right-center, giving the Knights a 7-5 lead. It was the 3rd triple of the year for Silva.
"We earned that one," said Silva.
