The Vancouver Grizzlies could not turn a fine performance from catcher Young-jin Kim into a win. Instead, the Seattle Gulls prevailed, 6-4. Kim was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Junro Yano picked up the save for Seattle, his 7th of the year. With the victory, the Gulls upped their record to 35-28.
It could have been a different outcome for Seattle, had it not been for Adam Thorson, the 27-year old right fielder . Thorson contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first inning to put Seattle up, 2-0.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Thorson. "I think we showed that here."
