The El Paso Diablos beat the Minnesota Loons, 11-4, at Inferno Field. Alex Cerna, in particular, was impressive. He was 4-5 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 7. Ken Trombley picked up the save, his 4th. El Paso is 32-10 and Minnesota, with the loss, 21-21.

With El Paso trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth, Cerna hit a changeup from Alex Soto for a grand slam home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Diablos ahead, 7-4.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Cerna.
