In a tight contest between the Minnesota Loons and the Denver Cutthroats, Jonathan Woods was the determining factor. The Minnesota right-hander sparkled in his team's 2-1 win. The win was credited to 25-year old left-handed pitcher Dave Painter in relief. His record improves to 1-5. David Villa took the loss. With the win, the Loons have a record of 20-18.

The Loons got a clutch hit from second baseman Jake Force. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Loons.

"It wasn't easy, but we got it done," said Force.
