Henrik Kuehnemund, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, was locked in. The left-hander led the Chicago Union to a 7-1 win against the Miami Sun Sox at Trident Field. Chicago goes to 4-0.
John McKinney went 2-3 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Chicago. The 23-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a 2-run single off George Spence. It was his 3rd hit of the season.
"I'm proud to wear a Chicago jersey," McKinney told the Chicago Daily News. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
