Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Long Beach Titans as starter Kyle Coltharp shut them out, 4-0, at Boston Field. The Boston pitcher struck out 13 and walked 2 while allowing 1 hit.

"Coltharp was good but he wasn't flawless," Long Beach manager Seth Mansfield said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Boston, but this is on us."
