The El Paso Diablos pinned a convincing loss on the Los Angeles Knights, 10-2, at Inferno Field. Alex Cerna was a main factor in the win. He was 3-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for El Paso. Jason Roether earned the win for El Paso. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. The first-place Diablos have won 4 straight games.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Cerna hit a 2-run double off Edwin Gomez. It propelled the Diablos into the lead, 4-2.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Los Angeles manager Steve Finley.
