Minnesota Loss Tarnishes Youngsma Performance
|
Minnesota designated hitter Jason Youngsma was sensational. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Houston beat the Loons, 10-5. Scott Will got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 4 runs on 5 hits in 6 innings. The save was credited to David Gill, his 1st.
Alfonso Soler helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 4-0, Mavericks.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Soler.
The 11th-place Mavericks have won 4 consecutive games.
