Vacaville (R) shortstop Al Benge had a big day at PBC Rookie Development Complex against the Las Vegas (R) Rollers. The 29-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 13-0 Steelheads triumph over Las Vegas (R).

"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Benge said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."
