Moonshots: Pride Knocks 4 out of Sight
|
In a game for the ages, Southern Cal (R) Empires catcher Mike Pride launched 4 home runs at PBC Rookie Development Complex against the Vancouver (R) Narwhals.
Time after time, Pride found his stroke against the shell-shocked Narwhals pitching staff, finishing with 7 RBIs and scoring 4 times as the Empires grabbed the 10-2 victory.
"They pitch 'em and I hit 'em. I just did it a little better than them today," Pride said to reporters after his historic game. "I won big today, but they might get me out 4 times tomorrow."
Mike Pride walked in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Ernesto Felix in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Danny Garcia in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Ricky Valencia in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Ricky Valencia in the 8th.
