Cole Blasts Knights, Diablos Take Game 4, 9-4
|
The El Paso Diablos knotted up the Cup Qualifier at Camelot, thanks in large part to shortstop Skylar Cole. Cole was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 as he overpowered the Los Angeles Knights, enabling El Paso to grab the 9-4 win and move into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.
A key moment came with one out in the top of the third. That's when Cole hit a sinker from Corey Martin for a grand slam home run, putting El Paso up, 6-2.
"We're one game closer to our goal," El Paso manager Joe Peters said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Camelot in Los Angeles.
