Knights Hammered by Bibriesca, Drop Game 2 to Diablos
|
The El Paso Diablos defeated the Los Angeles Knights, 7-4, in Game 2 of the Cup Qualifier. Making an impact was third baseman Robbie Bibriesca, who went 2-3 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The win moves El Paso into a 1-1 tie with Los Angeles in the series.
Ryan Burton, who led the EC in stolen bases with 129 in 2018, aided the El Paso cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the center fielder drew 2 walks.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Burton.
Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Camelot in Los Angeles.
