Bluebirds Pelayo to Miss Year Saturday, September 26th , 2026 The season is finished for Jose Pelayo of the Nashville (R) Bluebirds. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Bluebirds starting pitcher suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Tampa Bay (R) Thunder. Team doctors said it would take at least 11-12 months to heal. This season, Pelayo has crafted a 1-0 mark with a 5.06 ERA in 16 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .303 against him and he has 14 strikeouts. |
