Tanaka Belts 5 Hits Saturday, August 29th , 2026 It was a sensational day at the plate for Yukio Tanaka as he led the charge to a nifty 13-4 win over the Sun Sox. The Toronto (R) center fielder was pure misery for the Miami (R) pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Tanaka put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Josh Vanover, manager for the Sun Sox, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Yukio Tanaka hit a two-run home run off Daniel Aldaya in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 7th.
