Lewis Batters Miami (R) Big Time Monday, July 6th , 2026 The St. Louis (R) Lions stopped the Miami (R) Sun Sox by a score of 10-9 at PBC Rookie Development Complex, with the lion's share of the credit going to third baseman Elijah Lewis. The 18-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Lewis said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Lewis did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Sun Sox. "Not much that I can say," offered Miami (R) manager Josh Vanover. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Elijah Lewis hit a solo-shot off Fernando Canales in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in a run in the 5th, singled in the 7th, struck out in the 10th and singled in the 12th.
